The essential problem of this unit is that the people of river city had to make a decision of how much land they wanted to use for recreation and how much land they wanted to use for development purposes. For us to help them make the decision we had to apply our ideas about algebra, geometry, and the relationship between the two. The first stage of the unit was a very complicated situation.
Matrix- In mathematics, a matrix is a rectangular array of numbers and letters arranged in rows and columns. Personal Growth
I personal grew from this new learning of math skills. Starting off I was so confused on what this unit was actually wanting us to do but when we were finally getting to it I started to understand way more than I actually knew. After I understand the entire concept classmate would walk up to me confused because they didn’t know who to do it. I felt like this was the one math skill that I will remember and wish I could keep doing it. I grew in so many ways, so now when they give me a word problem and it looks like something to do with matrices or an equation that has a naked variable as my teacher would say. I naked variable is an X or Y that doesn’t have a number in front of it with another equation. For example, 2y+x=10 and 5x+20y=50 then you would solve for X and once you found out X you would find out Y. Personal I feel like I learned a lot and growed a lot.
