Purpose:- The purpose of this project was to better understand what goes into designing certain traffic regulations and routes. Our class looked at the math behind decisions and then came up with our own question to answer. In order to come up with our own questions we had to make sure that they followed a certain problem solving cycle which consisted of:
The question that I picked was with Clara Wolf and it was, how much does an average DUI cost? After we researched the information we would need to answer the question and solve it. Once we had a final answer we made a poster about the process we went through and how we solved it.

Introduction- At the beginning of this project we looked at what what made a good research question, then we brainstormed our own questions to answer. Some questions that we did as a group were-
- What is the average lifespan of a tire?
- What color of a car holds the most heat inside?
Purpose:- The purpose of this project was to better understand what goes into designing certain traffic regulations and routes. Our class looked at the math behind decisions and then came up with our own question to answer. In order to come up with our own questions we had to make sure that they followed a certain problem solving cycle which consisted of:
- Ask a good question
- Create a mathematical framework
- Do the Math
- Reflect on our results
- Look it up
